Oxford Radiology

Welcome to the Oxford Radiology site. This unofficial site has been created by some of the trainees in the Oxford deanery to provide some more information about our department and training.

The Oxford radiology training scheme is a great training scheme that covers all areas of radiology. Some of the highlights of the training program are:

Geography

You are based in Oxford University Hospitals for most of your training, with short placements at DGH throughout training.

Exposure to all areas of radiology

Trainees g through a structured 'block' system, so you get exposure to every part of radiology. You get to see it all and decide what you want to do for higher training.

Large friendly registrar cohort

There are 6-9 trainees each year, which form a large but friendly cohort of registrars. Combined with the fact that you stay in Oxford for most of your training, there is a strong sense of community within the training scheme.

Please look at the web pages on this site for more specific information about the structure of the training program. Note that this is subject to change.
